Al Seef is all about beautiful traditions combined with modern designs, showcasing Dubai’s blend between its proud past and bright future. Al Seef celebrates Dubai Creek’s beginnings as the famous coastal pearl diving base. Stretched for 1.8km of Dubai Creek’s stately shoreline, the 2.5 million square foot development has two sections – a heritage area featuring old architecture, and a second space featuring more contemporary structures. Al Seef is also home to myriad shopping concepts situated throughout the development, with something to satisfy every style.
Studio Brass Tacks lanterns installed all along the area aims to create a hierarchy defining lighting mapped to the key viewpoints across the heritage site with a visual prominence of the architectural elements. This holistic approach creates vibrant, prosperous, safe and inclusive places for those who visit, work and play near them.
Lighting has played a key role to enliven the urban environment for tourists and the local population, re-kindle the national interest in a forgotten landmark and even unlock new commercial opportunities for the site and its neighbours.
